Rumors Chrysler Looking to Cancel Storied 300 Sedan for Millennial Mover Portal Concept EV
Determined not to be undone by this week’s plans by VW to launch its electric MicroBus, FCA Chrysler is rumored ready to put its 6 passenger BEV Portal Concept Minivan into production and cancel the iconic 300 sedan, both in 2020. If true, this may redefine the storied division brand’s mission, started by the main corporation’s founder, Walter P. Chrysler, from once a Cadillac competing luxury brand, reduced to a Buick competing premium brand, perhaps transformed into a people moving brand.
Chrysler Portal Minivan Concept Replaces the Chrysler 300

Automotive News Canada is reporting that FCA Chrysler is ready to cancel the storied Chrysler 300 sedan by 2020 and replace it with its first all electric six passenger minivan based on a concept vehicle introduced at the 2017 Consumer Electronics Show, called Portal. If true, this would be a significant game changer not only for the Italian American allied car company, but also for its rumored endangered specie Chrysler brand, that only has two models in its entire range.
