San Diego-based gaming accessory maker Turtle Beach has announced the next generation of two of its gaming headsets, the Stealth 600 and 700. The company has introduced Stealth 600 Gen 2 and Stealth 700 Gen 2 for multiple platforms including current-gen and next-gen consoles. Other compatible platforms are PC and Nintendo Switch.
Both new headsets from Turtle Beach feature larger flip-to-mute mics, design upgrades and have Xbox Wireless technology as opposed to the PlayStation versions which still connect with USB transmitters. The Stealth 600 Gen 2 wireless headset has 15 hours of battery life, a reinforced new headband and hinges with glasses friendly ear cushions and 50mm speakers. It also has an easily accessible audio preset button.
Moving on to the 700 Gen 2, the gaming headset features 20 hours of battery life and more refined and precise sound quality. It uses Turtle Beach’s new Aerofit cooling gel-infused memory foam ear cushions and the company’s new 50mm Nanoclear speakers. The design for this model has also been reinforced and it now offers Bluetooth connectivity. Users may connect to the Turtle Beach Audio Hub app via Bluetooth and take advantage of the features it offers such as customizable audio settings and remappable dials and buttons.
The two gaming headsets employ Turtle Beach’s exclusive Superhuman Hearing technology for better sound while gaming, as they did before. Both new generations of headsets are available in two shades: black and white. As for the price, the 600 Gen 2 is priced at $99.95 whereas the upper tier 700 Gen 2 is priced at $149.95.
While the Stealth 600 Gen 2 for the PS4 and PS5 launches on August 16, the Xbox One and Xbox Series X versions have been scheduled to debut on September 20. Meanwhile, all variants of the Stealth 700 Gen 2 will release on September 20. Pre-orders for the gaming headsets are currently open and can be placed on Turtle Beach’s online store.
